We Are Hancock County NST
A non-profit organization whose mission is to sponsor families from regions of the world who are threatened by war, gangs, economics, and other challenges to relocate to Hancock County, Maine. Recognizing that Hancock County is primarily a rural and sparsely populated area of the United States, our goal is to relocate 2 families a year.
Our focus is on families who come to the US legally, through Humanitarian Parole, Temporary Protective Status, WelcomeCorps, or other government programs.
Our goal is to help families in crisis in their homeland find a place to live their lives and grow their families – in other words, humanitarian efforts are not political.
Our Impact
Since our first donation in Spring of 2022, we have successfully relocated two families from Ukraine to Hancock County. We have also received generous donations of just under $100,000 towards our mission and are excited to continue to support two families each year. We provide all essential relocation services, including covering travel costs, residential setup, employment support, transportation to and from appointments, educational support, and community integration.
